The Non Farm FarmHouse

We moved here from South Florida 8 years ago. I wanted a big old farmhouse. We got one. Now we just have to make it work and that means ripping it apart and putting it back together one money sucking room at a time.

  • I went on a trip recently to see my sister before she leaves for Afghanistan. We went into Philly so I could go see the Liberty Bell. Though it was nice to see it and I am so glad I did I was sad that the kids were not with me. My sister didn't appreciate me giving her pointers on how to do a two page report on Our Trip to the Liberty Bell. I guess the home school mom will never leave me even though my kids are now public school brats.

The best part of the trip was when we went into The National Constitution Center and I got to meet up with these guys.
The fine men that signed our Declaration of Independence. What a treat it was to see this room with all of these bronze life size statues. Even though my brother in law has known me for twenty five years (you'd think he'd know me by now) I still embarrassed him by taking a gazillion pictures and personally talking to each and every statue. "What? what's that you say?" " Oh I'm sorry, am I interrupting your conversation?"
I had such fun comparing shoe styles. I just love buckles. How come I can't get buckles like this on my shoes?

My goodness. It's the first day of a new year. Where does all the time go? Why is it some years seem to go on forever and others are over in the blink of an eye. I still have to think about how old I am because it doesn't seem possible that I'm in my forties.
It doesn't seem possible that I have four kids and one of those kids is an adult. An adult closer to the age that I still think I am but aren't. Did you follow that?
